What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that assesses, diagnoses, treats, and works to prevent disease and disability through physical means. In a physiotherapy session
the therapist will identify what is causing the problem by examining certain aspects of the structure of the body. Depending on the problem, the treatment plan may include
releasing muscle tension, improving joint mobility and posture and increasing muscle strength in order to prevent further injury through exercises. Free Motion has expertise
in movement and function and we always work closely together with our patients to create the most appropriate treatment plan that suits their needs.
Practical information
Please bring a valid form of identification to your first appointment. If you have been referred by a general practitioner or medical specialist, please also bring your referral. If possible, we ask you to bring a towel.
Insurance & reimbursement
In most cases, physiotherapy treatments are reimbursed from your supplementary health insurance. The number of treatments reimbursed depends on your insurance package and the policy conditions of your health insurer.
In some situations, treatments are (partially) reimbursed from the basic insurance, for example in the case of certain chronic conditions, for children, or in other cases stipulated by law.
Free Motion Physiotherapy has contracts with Dutch health insurers. The reimbursement of your treatment depends on your insurer, the policy you have chosen and the applicable policy conditions.
We therefore advise you to check your policy conditions in advance or contact your health insurer. Do you have any questions about your treatment or our working method? Please feel free to contact our practice. We will be happy to help you.
When your health insurer does not reimburse a treatment or only reimburses part of it, the costs will be charged to you in accordance with our current practice tariffs.
Deductible
When a treatment is reimbursed through the basic insurance, the compulsory deductible may apply. Treatments that are reimbursed solely through the supplementary insurance are generally not subject to the deductible.
Cancellation policy
If you are unable to attend, please let us know no later than 24 hours before your appointment.
If you cancel too late or do not attend your appointment, we are obliged to charge € 38,-. These costs are not reimbursed by the health insurer.
Payment terms
In most cases, we will invoice your treatment directly to your health insurer.
If your treatment is not reimbursed or only partially reimbursed, you will receive the invoice directly from our practice. This may be the case, for example, when you have reached your maximum number of treatments or when your insurance does not provide reimbursement.
Invoices must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date.
